Princeton WannaBe Blog
I'm not a real historian. I didn't grow up in Princeton. I don't have an Ivy League education.
I'm a total Princeton WannaBe.
Still, I gush about loving the heart of Princeton as much as I can!
I'm Not Sayin' We're DONE with Pi Day, But We're DONE With Pi Day!
Photo'd here is the Albert Einstein re enactor, Bill Agress with my mother, who agreed to play Pauline Einstein during Geek Freak Weekend.
(I can say this because Bill has NO computer and will never read this .....)
Once Bill is in character, he NEVER goes out of character.
NEVER.
EVER.
EVER.
(I didn't have the heart to tell her about Princyclopedia coming up on April 9th ...... she gets to be a Centaur!)
I'm teasing - if your corporation or private group party is looking for a professional re enactor Bill Agress is DEFINITELY the guy we recommend!

Did you know Landau's on Nassau Street has the ONLY Einstein Museum on the planet! TRUE!
They're also the 2011 Princeton distributor for Pi Day Princeton tee shirts!
Our Geek Freak Weekend will be here before you know it so drop by Landau's and get some official SWAG to wear to the big day!

A Peep O'Day in Princeton? (yep)
It's a house at the SW corner of Mercer and Olden Lane.
Laurence Hutton (y'know, the dramatic critic) lived in the "Peep O'Day" and gave it the incredible name after he expanded the property. Mark Twain actually visited him there! (So did Helen Keller!)
Start thinking about taking a bike tour once this weather breaks! We get off the beaten path where I can show you the homes and hangouts of all sorts of literary, scientific, academic, artistic and business Princeton Greats!
At Peep O'Day I'll tell you about Mr. Hutton's correspondence with Samuel Clemens and the benediction he received from Helen Keller!

I Think Most of You Know We Like Working A Ground Game, But It's the Hail Mary's We're Known For ...

See this picture? Princeton University graduate students.
See the guy seated to the far right - yep, the one with crossed legs ..... THAT'S Josh Green! Y'know, your favorite guy from Beauty and the Geek! He studied Astrophysics at Princeton University! I KNOW!
Yesterday, I held my interview with the world's coolest geek from the comfy barstool of his favorite kareoke joint - The Ivy (He liked dbase too but I can't get a pass in there...)
I'm saving most of the interview for the "tell-all" book but here's the highlights: (Are y'all seeing the reference to the Super Bowl in this .... I swear I put some effort in this.....anyhoo ....)
ME: "You know we're celebrating Einstein's birthday in town this year. Einstein was born on ...."
JOSH: "March 14rth ...... the numeric equivalent of Pi. I've celebrated since I was in 4rth grade!"
ME: "Will you PLEASE come and speak at the Princeton Public Library to kick off Princeton Pi Day?"
JOSH: "I gotta make that. It would be TOO much fun."
ME: "Would you do the chicken dance? I loved that episode too!"
JOSH: "Sure!"
ME: "Y'know, Ashton Kutchner produced the show ...... Could you see if he would tweet up the event later today?"
The rest is between Josh and I but, now you know ....... we MIGHT have Josh Green at Princeton Pi Day and we MIGHT have Ashton Kutchner tweet about it!
SUNDAY, MARCH 14RTH, 3.14 .....
WILL YOU BE AROUND PRINCETON?
