Dan Bauer is the tour guide for the 6:30pm Saturday evening shuttle tours .......
(yes, he's tight with Brother West and Ben Vereen ....)
and EVERYONE in Princeton!
(Don't be surprised if people like John Lithgow, Bebe Neuwirth, Ethan Hawke and folks like that say hi to your tour group. Dan has been the public relations czar for the #1 regional theater in America so it goes without sayin' he knows a few people!)
If you're looking for a cool tour with a cool tour guide you should book a Saturday Shuttle tour!
(Did you know the Princeton Hampton Inn is letting us use their van for these tours? TRUE! They think what we're doing to promote Princeton is AWESOME and they want everyone to get a chance to see Princeton! Brother West calls the kind of generosity paying it forward for sure!)

TODAY IS HELEN KELLER'S BIRTHDAY!
She used to spend time in Princeton visiting Laurence Hutton in his home at 250 Mercer Street! TRUE!
(Laurence Hutton fascinates me! He was also dear friends with Mark Twain, who almost decided to move to Princeton! TRUE!)

Did you know there is a hidden plaque on Princeton University campus giving the coordinates of Albert Einstein's walk from his famous residence to a Princeton office he used from 1933 - 1939?
TRUE!
(Take a tour and we'll tell you where there all sorts of hidden plaques throughout campus .... the bannister of F. Scott Fitzgerald and even a plaque honoring the student who was NEVER born ....)

Happy Father's Day! (Lemme Show You the Coolest One on the Planet!)
This is my step daddy, Shug. (His real name is Steve Renner but when I had my son we renamed him Shug because he loves to eat sugar and he loves to hug people. Get it now? Shug = sugar = hugs!)
Anyhoo, there is not a person on the planet that does not adore my step daddy, Shug.
Did you know he's come to viisit my son - his grandson, Stosh, every month since he was born? TRUE!
Did you know, because of Shug, I have enough video footage of my son to crash at least nine computers? TRUE!
Did you know he reads ALL the local papers when he's not visiting because he knows I LOVE to talk about all-things-Princeton? TRUE!
Did you know he learns all sorts of computer games because he knows Stosh is SUPER into technology? TRUE!
Did you know he'd do just about do anything for anyone on the planet? TRUE! (except if you're a jaywalker .... he CANNOT tolerate jaywalkers .... he's hysterical to watch in Princeton.
I wish someone out there who makes people deputies would read this and make Shug Deputy for a Day and focus him on Princeton jaywalkers .... it would be the BEST FATHERS DAY GIFT EVER!)

Today, Only FOREVER Ago ......
So today, in 1807, President Thomas Jefferson received a subpoena to testify in the treason trial of his former VP, Aaron Burr Jr.
Keep in mind, Burr had already gunned down Alexander Hamilton in a duel in 1804. He was Vice President when the duel went down so he went into hiding to avoid prosecution for murder. The charges were later dropped but I have to think Jefferson was still worried about vouching for the guy.
Anyhoo, after the duel Burr lost his mind (just a teeny bit) and decided if he got the help of Britain and Spain he could create a separate nation in the southwest American continent and Burr would be a ruler! TRUE!
ALL of you know, I am a FAN of world domination but even I'm not THAT nuts!
General James Wilkinson was in on the plan but ended up telling Jefferson all about it so Burr was hunted down and that's how he got charged with treason! I KNOW! Jefferson refused to appear at the trial and released only a few requested documents by Burr. Per usual, it worked out for Aaron because the Supreme Court Chief Justice John Marshall found Burr not guilty. SO FUN!
HEY TMZ, HISTORY CHANNEL CALLED, THEY WANT THEIR CONTENT BACK!
