Princeton WannaBe Blog
I'm not a real historian. I didn't grow up in Princeton. I don't have an Ivy League education.
I'm a total Princeton WannaBe.
Still, I gush about loving the heart of Princeton as much as I can!
Princeton Pi Day & Einstein Birthday Party Turns Out The Big Numbers!
I'm not gonna lie, the weather broke my confidence this morning BUT THEN.....
when I saw the Pie Judging Competition attracted Congressman Rush Holt (yes, he said "hi" to me....well, kind of ... if you were there he did that nervous "stop" wave to me, but still ..... HE WAVED!), and Gareth (pictured here) recited over 100 digits in Pi, I knew
Princeton Pi Day wasn't just a cute one time event..... this event had the Peoples' Choice written ALL OVER IT!
Then, the Plasma Physics Lab was PACKED beyond comprehension, plus, a virtual MOB was involved in the Pie Throwing Event - (sorry, we'll get that a bit more under control next year!)
THEN, hundreds stayed to see the winner of The Einstein Look A Like Event!
So what brought the insane number of crowds to downtown Princeton? Was it the FREE ads donated by Princeton Packet? Was it the Trenton Times article? Was it Town Topics? Was it the cover of US 1? the Trentonian? Princeton KIDS? Shutterbuggeek on Twitter? We don't know but we congratulate all the amazing media for coverage of an amazing celebration of our first annual Princeton Pi Day & Einstein Birthday Party!
